PomoGarden - Focus Timer — Privacy Policy

PomoGarden – Focus Timer (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is built on a simple principle: your focus habits are personal, and we have no need to see them. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly how the App handles information.

1. Data Stored Only on Your Device

The following is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework and never leaves it unless you explicitly use the in-app “Export My Data” feature:

  • Focus session records (start time, duration, focus mode, your optional “intention” text, mood ratings, focus score, whether a session was discarded);
  • Your garden (which plants you have unlocked, their positions and earned dates);
  • Streaks and insights, which are computed on-device from your session records;
  • App settings and preferences;
  • Records of which donation tier you selected, if any.

We do not upload this information to any server. We do not operate a database of your sessions, and we cannot see your data.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, request, or store any of the following: your name, email address, or any account credentials; your location; advertising identifiers (IDFA/IDFV); device identifiers used for tracking; your session “intention” text; your mood ratings; or any other personally identifiable information. The App contains no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

3. Purchases

If you choose to make an in-app donation, the purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We receive only a confirmation that a purchase was completed and which product it was. We never receive your payment card details, Apple ID, or billing address.

4. Notifications

The App may send local notifications (for example, when a focus session ends or for an optional daily reminder). These are generated entirely on your device, are never processed by us, and can be turned off at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → PomoGarden.

5. Aggregate App Store Analytics (Handled by Apple)

If you have enabled “Share With App Developers” in your device’s iOS privacy settings, Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymous statistics (such as total downloads, sessions, and crash reports). This data is collected and anonymized by Apple, is not linked to your identity, and is controlled by you through your device settings. We never receive individual user data through this channel.

6. Children's Privacy

PomoGarden – Focus Timer is intended for a general audience. It does not require an account or any personal information to use, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App contains no social features and no user-to-user communication.

7. Data Retention, Export, and Deletion

Because your data lives on your device, it is retained until you delete it. You can export all of your data as a JSON file (Settings → Privacy → Export My Data) or permanently delete it (Settings → Privacy → Delete All My Data). Deleting the App also removes all of its local data.

8. Your Rights

As we do not hold your personal data on any server, the practical exercise of your rights happens on your own device: you can access your data via “Export My Data” and erase it via “Delete All My Data”. Your exported data is provided in a standard, portable JSON format.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
