Effective date: September 15, 2026
The short version: Nutrora has no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. Your food diary, weight, body measurements and photos live on your iPhone and — if you keep iCloud sync on — in your own private iCloud, which we cannot read. The only data that ever reaches our server is what you deliberately send to an AI feature (a meal photo, a typed meal, a recipe request or a numeric weekly summary), and we do not store it. Everything else works offline. The only other information we can receive is an email you choose to send us.
Nutrora is an iOS application published by Ümit Üregün (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Nutrora. You can reach us any time at info@tenisify.app.
Nutrora is built so that we cannot see your data, because it does not reach us:
The single exception is the optional AI features described below, and even there we keep nothing but an anonymous daily usage count.
Everything you log is stored in a local database on your iPhone, including meal photos you attach to entries.
If iCloud sync is on (Settings › Privacy & Reminders), that database is also stored in your own private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit) so a new iPhone or a reinstall continues where you left off. That copy is held by Apple under your Apple Account and Apple’s iCloud terms; it is end-to-end tied to your account and we have no access to it. Switch sync off and nothing is synced.
You can save a complete backup file, restore it, and delete everything with one action in Settings. Deleting the app deletes the local diary; the iCloud copy is removed via Settings › Delete all data (before uninstalling) or in iOS Settings › Apple Account › iCloud › Manage Storage.
Some features use a language model. They are optional and run only when you tap them. What is sent:
Where it goes. The request travels over an encrypted connection to our server (Supabase, hosted in Frankfurt, Germany), which forwards it to Anthropic (United States) to generate the answer, then returns the answer to your phone. Anthropic processes it under its commercial API terms, which do not permit using API inputs or outputs to train models.
What we keep. We do not store the photo, the text, the summary or the answer. Our server keeps only a per-day usage counter (how many photo, text, recipe and report requests were made) against a random subscription token that is not linked to your Apple Account, and deletes these counters after 7 days. Server logs record request status codes and timestamps. Cooking steps generated for a dish may be kept in a shared cache keyed by the dish name only, so the same dish is not generated twice; that cache contains nothing about you.
On-device AI. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence switched on, these features run on the device itself and nothing is sent to us or to anyone. The app uses this route whenever it is available.
Your own API key (optional). If you enter your own Anthropic, OpenAI or Google key in Settings › AI, requests go directly from your phone to that provider under its own privacy policy and never touch our server. The key is stored in the iOS Keychain on your device only; you can remove it at any time. We are not responsible for how a provider you chose handles your data.
Nutrora can optionally read workouts from Apple Health and write the nutrition you log back to Apple Health. This is off by default and happens only after you grant permission in iOS. Health data is used solely to show your workouts and energy inside the app and to keep your Health record complete. It is never sent to our servers, never used for advertising, marketing or research, never shared with or sold to third parties, and never used to make decisions about you. Revoke access at any time in iOS Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices.
The camera is used to scan barcodes and to take meal photos; the photo library only when you pick an existing photo. Photos stay in your diary on your device (and in your iCloud copy) and are sent to an AI provider only when you choose photo analysis.
When a barcode is not in the app’s own database, the barcode number alone is looked up on Open Food Facts (world.openfoodfacts.org, a public database under the ODbL); nothing about you is included in that request. The result is saved on your device so the product works offline afterwards. Open Food Facts data is contributed by volunteers and may be inaccurate; see the Terms.
Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through your App Store account. We never receive or store your name, payment details or billing address. To confirm that Nutrora Pro is active, the app sends Apple’s signed transaction to our server, which verifies it with Apple and derives the random subscription token mentioned above. At launch the app also downloads a small configuration file from our server (which plan carries the badge, campaign wording). Apple’s handling of your data is described in Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Reminders (evening nudge, Sunday weekly report, fasting end, trial reminders) are local notifications scheduled by the app on your device. No server or push service is involved; switch them off any time in the app’s settings or in iOS Settings.
The only personal data we can otherwise receive is what you choose to send us by email: your address and the content of your message. We use it solely to answer you, never add it to marketing lists or share it, and delete the correspondence on request — just ask in your email. Please do not send us screenshots of your diary or health information unless it is needed to solve your question.
Nutrora contains no third-party SDKs, ad networks or analytics providers. The third parties involved in your use of the app are: Apple (iOS, App Store, iCloud, Apple Health, Apple Intelligence); Supabase (our server hosting, EU); Anthropic (AI answers for the hosted route); Open Food Facts (barcode lookup); and, only if you configure one, the AI provider whose key you entered. Each processes data under its own terms and privacy policy, which we do not control.
Connections to our server use HTTPS; your API key, if any, is kept in the iOS Keychain; your diary is protected by your device passcode and your Apple Account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your device, passcode and Apple Account secure and for keeping a backup of your diary.
Our server is in the European Union (Frankfurt). AI requests on the hosted route are forwarded to Anthropic in the United States under standard contractual clauses. If you use your own API key, transfers are governed by the provider you chose.
Nutrora is designed for adults, is rated 13+ on the App Store and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; because Nutrora holds no personal data about anyone, it also holds none from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR or Türkiye’s KVKK), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port personal data and to object to processing. Ümit Üregün, based in Türkiye, is the data controller for the little that our server processes. Because your diary is stored only on your device and in your own iCloud, you exercise those rights directly in the app (backup, delete) and in your iCloud settings; the anonymous usage counters cannot be linked to you and expire within 7 days. The single exception is support email, which we delete on request. To exercise any right, email info@tenisify.app. EU/EEA users may also complain to their local data protection authority.
If we ever change how Nutrora works in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and change the date at the top before the change takes effect. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
