Email is the fastest way to reach us. Include your iPhone model and iOS version, and a screenshot if it helps — we usually reply within 2 business days. Please don’t send screenshots of your diary unless they are needed for your question.
No. Your diary lives on your iPhone and, if iCloud sync is on, in your own private iCloud that we cannot read. Nutrora has no account, no ads and no analytics. The only thing that ever reaches our server is an AI request you start yourself (a meal photo, a typed meal, a recipe or a numeric weekly summary), and we don’t keep it. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Tap the orange + on the Today tab: Search (2,700+ foods, offline), Describe (type it in your own words), Scan (photo) or Barcode. Pick a portion, tap Add. Any past meal can be repeated with one tap, and yesterday can be copied.
On iPhones with Apple Intelligence on, photo analysis, Describe, recipe steps and the Coach run on the device — private and without limits. Turn it on in iOS Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri (iPhone 15 Pro and later). Otherwise the app uses Nutrora’s own service (included in Pro, with a daily fair-use limit) or, if you prefer, your own Anthropic / OpenAI / Google key under Settings → AI.
Tap the entry to edit it — AI output is a suggestion, not a fact. The nutrition numbers always come from the food database; the model only recognises the food. If a food is missing, use Describe or create a custom food (Add food → empty search → Create custom food).
From your profile, goal and activity in Settings → You → Targets. Every number is editable there; the Custom calories switch fixes the daily energy target to a value you choose. Targets are general estimates, not medical advice — check them with a professional if you have any health condition.
They show how far today’s food covers your own nutrient targets, grouped by body part (Body benefits) or by ten everyday signals (Vitality). The links between nutrients and body functions come from the EU register of authorised health claims and are general information only.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Nutrora Pro → Cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal (or trial end) to avoid the next charge. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
All payments go through Apple, so refunds do too. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account and choose the Nutrora purchase. We can’t issue refunds ourselves, but email us if you get stuck.
Open Nutrora → Settings → Nutrora Pro → Restore Purchases (also on the paywall). Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple Account you used for the purchase. Offer codes: Settings → Nutrora Pro → Redeem Offer Code.
Back up: keep iCloud sync on (Settings → Privacy & Reminders), or save a file with Back up everything and restore it later on any iPhone. Delete: Settings → Privacy & Reminders → Delete all data; do this before uninstalling if you also want the iCloud copy gone, or clear it in iOS Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Storage. Deleting the app alone deletes only the local diary.
It’s optional and off by default. Allow it during onboarding or later in the Sport sheet to import workouts and write your nutrition to Health. Revoke any time in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices. Health data never leaves your device.
The app checks its own database first, then Open Food Facts (the barcode number only is sent). If the product isn’t there either, create it once as a custom food with the barcode; it works offline from then on.
Nutrora speaks 14 languages and follows your iPhone language. To pick one just for Nutrora: iPhone Settings → Apps → Nutrora → Language. There’s a shortcut inside the app: Settings → App language.
